About Us

Rajang Port Authority (RPA) was established under Section 3 of the Port Authorities Ordinance, 1961 (Sarawak) on 1st November 1970 and commenced its operation on 17th May 1971. It is a State Statutory Body and is placed under the purview of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development & Communications, Sarawak.

Our port in Sibu is the main revenue earning centre, which is also the main route for containerized cargo and conventional cargo. Sarikei caters mainly for conventional cargo for local consumption and timber products form the bulk of cargo handled at Sibu mid-stream and anchorages.
